mary cary headshotI am a public speaker, see my many of my Speaking Gigs sharing ideas about video, websites & search engine optimization for growing companies around the world. Also a legal marketing strategist and consultant in my company “Go Media Marketing” I began this company in 2006. I was also litigation secretary in Century City (Los Angeles) and my company and ideas grew out of my having an independent record label.

I’ve produced, directed, wrote scripts for and worked on post production for 1800+ Legal Marketing Videos. I’ve built over 1,200 WordPress websites myself. And I’ve built over 40 Video Studios across the USA and taught Video Production, Social Media Strategies, Script Writing, Research, SEO and Marketing to Law Firms for well over 8 years.

Backstory: All this started when I was a litigation secretary in Century City Los Angeles playing lead guitar in bands. During that time, I began my own record label after I had auditioned 9x as lead guitarist playing “Beat it” for Michael Jackson’s “Bad” tour  – and sadly ended up not getting that gig. I was so disappointed that I was determined to create my own record label and learn to market my bands myself. Fast forward to the recession, I realized all the marketing I’d learned including SEO, Social Media, Video Production, Blogging and Website Development and Design would translate well to helping lawyers and other service related businesses connect with their clients.

At Go Media Marketing, as a marketing strategist and consultant, I have developed marketing strategies and business plans, implemented my plans and increased revenue for the law firms listed below (among others) over many years with: SEO, PPC and SEM, website development, consulting, video production (TV & Online) and teaching in-house marketing programs.  I’ve written pitches and proposals and been flown out to work with law firms and engineering firms all over the world from my home base in the San Francisco Bay Area.

(I also play guitar in a rock band on weekends to blow off steam!)

Consulting & Teaching: By consulting and teaching marketing strategies with these firms, I have helped them grow. One example, (Woods & Woods) grew from 2 to over 100 employees in less than 4 years by implementing my marketing plan for their veteran benefit practice. Other examples include bringing in new kinds of mass tort pharmaceutical and medical device cases for Hughes & Coleman and branding an international wire transfer service called BizPayFx.

I have also done the every day work of building websites, blogging, SEO, studying analytics, tracking online assets, creating ad campaigns and researching cases to write scripts for video.

Legal Consulting and Marketing Video Production/Direction: One of my favorite accomplishments is having scripted, produced, directed, filmed, edited & search engine optimized over 1,500 legal marketing videos interviewing lawyers. My unique approach to video helps law firms reach new clients with professional high-end production, and a dignified educational message. I also own a video studio in Sausalito that I rent out and use for various projects. I’ve built small studios in over 15 law firms and taught their staff in-house video marketing for law firms.

Legal Consulting and Marketing Public Speaker: I have been a public speaker on the subject of legal marketing regularly since 2009, and have had the opportunity to speak around the world including legal conferences in Maui, Hawaii, Jackson, Wyoming, Park City, Utah, Vancouver, Canada, Aruba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Washington D.C., Boston Massachusetts, Atlanta, Georgia, Santa Barbara, California, and Shanghai, Republic of China. I spoke 2 weeks ago at the M&L Legal Marketing Management Seminar in Cabo San Lucas, about online video marketing strategies and SEO for law firms. The senior partners of 50 law firms were in attendance. I have been asked to speak consecutively for the past 7 years. All conference names & dates available on request.
