2:3 “How to Create Law Firm FAQ Videos that Get Clients”
Hi lawyer friends, this episode 2 of a 3 part series about law firm video.
If you’re interested in video it’ll be best if you WATCH the video associated with this post (hint hint)….
Frequently Asked Question videos are by far the most valuable video that end up on the front line of advertising because they get you clients.
In this 3 part series I’m sharing about:
- Biography videos
- FAQ videos
- TV style videos.
Each episode I’ll talk about:
- What production quality works
- What the content should be
- How that style works to meet new clients.
Why your Law Firm FAQ Videos are So Valuable
In this 3 part series, episode one was about your biography video, this is part 2 where I’m sharing about your Frequently Asked Question videos, and part 3 will be TV style videos. So let’s go deep now into FAQ videos.
Many smart law firms have a special relationship with someone like us who not only film but run the ads so we know what actually performs. So let’s first look at what production quality you need for FAQ style videos.
So I can’t say it enough ways, but simple FAQ videos get the most clients. A lot of law firms want to do something more fun and interesting, but trust me, my data shows you’ll get clients best with these informational, educational videos answering their top questions.
Many of the law firms who come to us to shoot video, want something outside the box, artistic and creative, and that’s more fun and interesting, usually more work too… but because we’re also the marketing team (pretty often), I know that (particularly with law firms new to advertising), nothing really draws in clients as well as a nice collection of FAQ videos!
We can use FAQ videos for all manner of advertising. (Remember without anyone looking no video works)! Here’s what I mean:
What Production Quality Do You Need for FAQ Style Videos?
FAQ videos do not have to be very high quality. In fact they want you to get right to the point in these kinds of videos.
If you need help of a lawyer, you don’t want lots of music and extra fluff.
Give them the details with nice simple graphics and probably it’ll be best if you shoot on a green screen.
(If you’re watching my video, I’m inserting some demonstration footage here where Mike Sullivan is on my green screen and being funny).
In video production, this is what we call a “talking head”. That doesn’t sound nice, but they really look great.
With the green screen we can keep the background clean and graphics can pop with your educational message.
What Content gets Clients with FAQ Style Videos?
For FAQ videos we want the content to be about what they’re up against and what they should do next.
In the first 10 seconds tell them what they get from watching your videos, tell them in more detail and then recap what they learned with a call to action as we call it in marketing, that asks them to reach out if they need your help.
How Do you get Clients with FAQ Style Videos?
This is your most valuable video for bringing in new clients.
We use these for Facebook ads, (retargeting) follow up ads, email automation to new potential clients, your website, google ads and on YouTube and so much more.
The reason these are so valuable is that people interested in getting help from you have these questions. Also, other than paid ads which work great, FAQ style videos help your SEO because people watch them longer whether it’s your website or on YouTube.
Data shows me every time this style of video production is what draws in new clients the best, (especially when you are not yet well known in your geographic area, but even as a super popular law firm who has been around the block a few times)!
If you want to shoot around some of your video ideas, let’s set up a Zoom call so we can say hello to each other in person!
Thanks for being a part of my journey!

A Few Testimonials

I have worked on a number of projects with Mary. Mary built a stunning website for the San Diego market which she then search optimized. It was different and original rather than something cheap looking from an iphone. We wanted the ability to film anytime. Mary and her team came to us on site and built a video studio. She taught us about gear, sound, lighting, scripting, presentation and how to present on camera. When her program was completed she left the tools and know-how to produce professional in-house marketing videos for any platform at anytime. Mary is a pro and you will love working with her.

I have had GoMedia Marketing film engineering firms all over the United States for us all around the area of STEM Careers. We also have them build our websites and marketing strategies. Mary Cary went with a crew to film Dean Kamen and his young engineers in New Hampshire twice. We’re very happy with their kindness and help.

I met Mary Cary when she was speaking at a Conference. She said YouTube was the 2nd biggest search engine in the world. I wasn’t utilizing the second biggest search engine in the world. We filmed over a hundred videos with Mary. She built our website when we had 2 employees, at this point in time, we have over 120 employees! Thank you!

Go Media Marketing has top class support, Ned helped me understand how using video matters. Once we grew bigger we had Go Media Marketing do our videos – & blog for us. Mary Cary came to film us in Nebraska and I also came out to film with GoMedia Marketing in Sausalito. I stayed in San Francisco. Thank you! Highly recommended!
