“LAWYERS: 5 Legal Marketing Tips for Successful Meta Ads ”

Hey Lawyers!

This video (if you’re watching) is about using meta ads in August 2023 and 5 of my top tips to help you along the way.

Today I’m back in real life… hahah after a few “re-posts” and then being a little MIA for vacation… and I’m welcoming you to my zoom room where I’ll meet with you over your law firm marketing or management project if you need me!

I hope you’ve had an awesome summer. I’ve been up in the Sierras with some much needed rest and a lot of time completely unplugged with my family! So let’s jump into this subject.

First off, lets talk a little about what can go wrong…. it’s never a good idea to only rely on one source for getting clients into your practice. What if that source dries up?

Over my 15 plus years in legal marketing I’ve seen everything dry up at some point. And creating a new source that brings you a steady flow of clients often takes a lot of time, talent, experience and sometimes costs a lot of money. Not just anyone knows how to do it.

Today I’m talking about creating a steady flow of new clients using Meta ads. I talk about meta ads quite a bit. But Meta ads is hard.

With Meta ads… Imagine the most annoying and difficult website experience you’ve had. Just when you get used to it’s complexity and where to find things, they change the interface.

Sure they try and dumb the interface down for you by having you do what’s called “boost a post”, but I don’t ever see plaintiff’s lawyers getting clients this way.

You need the full complex interface to access all the strategic algorithms and data available to build that steady flow of new clients that you need.he day.

Once you get through the Meta Ads interface with a deep sigh of relief, you find that Meta rejects your ads stating that you’re violating ad policies which you clearly are not violating. Hmmm are insurance companies trying to keep you from advertising? I don’t know, but it sure is hard… (especially if you’re a personal injury lawyer) to get your ad approved.

Now let’s say you got that first ad approved… what is the right messaging and media? We know that your clients are on the fence so what is it that you are sharing with them in your ad?

Ok… so here are my tips today:

  1. Patience Pays Off: Building a consistent client stream can take a year or more. It’s hard work or everyone would do it. Brace yourself for the journey.
  2. Taming the Interface: Don’t be discouraged by the complexities of Meta ads’ interface. Get comfortable with the idea that it’s annoying and take your time.
  3. Quality over Expediency: Avoid shortcuts like “boosting a post” that yield subpar results.
  4. Go with a Professional Legal Marketing Agency: Engage professionals who are genuinely invested in your success.
  5. Empathy in Messaging: Understand the apprehension clients feel about seeking legal assistance. Your ads should provide valuable insights, fostering trust and alleviating concerns. And create lots of educational follow up content to help them off the fence.

We’re a boutique agency that only works with law firms who we truly love working with… we are like a family. Your life’s work is law, mine is helping law firms. We take this seriously!

To illustrate my point, I have a dear friend Bob (who also plays in my Southern Rock band) who didn’t get the right lawyer to help him when his wife was killed by a drunk driver in a car accident.

I want to work with lawyers who take it to the mat for guys like Bob.

If you need help with your Meta Ads, sometimes we have room for a couple more law firms. Reach out and let’s have a zoom call right here in my zoom room! We’re real people working every day to bring you the right clients! Thank you for your time! Much appreciated!
