LAWYERS CAN HUMOR GET CLIENTS? FACEBOOK VIDEOS ADS
Today is my top mistakes using Comedy! Can your marketing be fun without being offensive, and still bring in clients in your practice area?
Can you have fun with lawyer marketing, without offending, and meet new clients?
Today’s tip is how to use humor, and how NOT to use humor to get clients with Facebook video ads for lawyers and I’m showing an example (so be sure to watch the video).
Facebook and Instagram Ads Getting Over Saturated with Lawyers?
You’re probably starting to see lawyer ads pop up in your Facebook or Instagram feed.
You’re also probably noticing that like on TV, these lawyer ads are all looking the same. Same messaging, same look, same music, same-same-same.
Look alike ads become invisible
- What if you are one of those TV law firms in your area?
- What if you have a personality that people love, but that style ad makes you disappear?
- Or what if you’re new to video advertising, and want to meet new clients but can’t bear doing that same old thing?
I work with lawyers who crave new and creative ways to approach video advertising. So we’ve tried everything. Some works some not so much.
Because we are the marketing agency and the video production team, I know what works. My data shows that on TV and Facebook, getting more creative works. Standing out is good.
So we’ve been trying comedy. (Cut to comedy Facebook/TV ad. This is where watching my video works better than reading).
This video (shown above) is signing cases every day right now. We are signing clients right and left right off Facebook messages. The firm’s phone is going “bananas”.
But we’ve tried lots of things that don’t work. So why not learn from our mistakes.
Top Mistakes When Using Comedy in Lawyer Ads
TODAY’S TIPS
1. Do not make fun of the practice of law. It’s only funny to you.
2. Do not make fun of clients’ issues. Our failed approach was making fun of those who do not become a client. It’s not funny no matter how you spin it. (Big waste of time)
3. Try making fun of yourself! There’s a lot of ways that work. They’ll come to you knowing you better and knowing your firm has a heart.
