How can Writing an eBook Help Build a Car Accident Law Firm?
This is video 2 in a 3 part series, and today is “How can writing an eBook help build a Car Accident Firm?”
The first video in this series was #1 tip for how to build a car accident firm where we jumped into the mindset of the car accident victim who needs an attorney.
This is the second video in this series, “How can writing an eBook help build a Car Accident Firm?” so let’s focus a little bit more on content and a marketing.
I work to help lawyers build car accident firms and it’s not so straight forward as you’d think.
Do Not Try This Strategy
Many of you might say: “we’ll just get a kid to do some social media and that’ll be all we need.”
Unless the kid has a lot of experience building car accident practice areas… that may not be all you need!
In the last video, I shared that my #1 tip for how to build a car accident firm was to understand the mindset of your potential clients and based on that get lots of educational content in front of them.
But if you’re hiring a kid or anyone else, the content that you use to help get them off the fence has to be authentically valuable.
So how can writing an eBook help build a car accident firm?
LAW FIRM STORY
There are many reasons you might want to start, grow or change practice areas.
One of my clients Woods Lawyers in Indiana had a thriving car accident and personal injury practice and wanted to morph over to Veteran Disability benefit cases.
But why change practice areas? Neil Woods, who you may know, (hi Neil if you’re reading this) … had a real heart for the vets.
I used to talk to Neil about marketing and the website, and while on the phone he used to tell me that there were homeless veterans outside his office everyday. It was heartbreaking. And they weren’t getting the help they needed. He felt a real connection and wanted to help.
It took a lot of work in the beginning as it often does starting anything worthwhile, and we filmed about 140 videos for YouTube Search reaching to vets that need disability benefits. And we wrote hundreds of blog articles. I learned a lot about veteran benefits and their struggles.
We built trust by talking about survivor guilt, and Camp Lejeune water contamination, and loads of subjects that helped Woods connect with the vets.
For a while, Woods had to kind of straddle between Veteran Disability and Car Accident injury cases while they went in the direction of a veteran practice.
You might have a lot of reasons why you want to handle car accident cases, maybe there’s a connection you have with those who don’t understand what they’re up against. And maybe you need a steady flow of these clients coming in.
So How can Writing an eBook help Build a Car Accident Firm?
Writing an ebook is what they call in marketing a “lead magnet”.
I don’t really like that marketing term. A “lead” is a person who might become a great client for you, and the magnet is something that draws them in to you.
If you write an ebook that educates the reader about how to hire your firm, and what they’re up against in exchange for their contact information, this builds you the right list.
You can automate the follow up process so that it works for you after getting the content written and everything in place.
I’ve written Social Security Disability Benefit, Car Accidents, Medical Malpractice, Mass Torts, (even Vaginal Mesh) … and so many more. Always we enlist the help of the attorney since it’s their firm’s culture, experience and license on the line when it comes to marketing materials.
It’s no small amount of work, but it can work for you for years to come. And you can repurpose your eBook content for so many other outward facing assets.
Your eBook can Help:
- Weed out those who will not become clients,
- Educate existing clients; and
- Bring in new clients
