Facebook ads are hot hot hot for some law firms! And it’s no wonder, my clients are paying 397.61% more Per Lead on Google than Facebook.

With (6 month average) cost-per-lead at $37.52 for Google leads, and $7.54 for leads from Facebook. And the leads from Facebook have already messaged with us so we know they’re a pretty close fit.

My beautiful new “GenZ” high school intern, Basia Griffin, (also my niece) recently asked me “What is a lead?” I told her it’s someone who has identified as being interested in getting help from our attorneys and being qualified.

But how can you meet new interested people who need your help on Facebook?

You might think it’s easy and that you just get a “GenZ”… or someone younger to start posting on your free facebook page. That might help get you a client here or there.

But usually those who follow your free Facebook page are friends, family, clients, former clients and other attorneys. This means your free page might get you a referral which is also great.

But so far, I’ve never seen Facebook Free Business Page create a steady reliable flow of new clients.

FACEBOOK ADS

Of course using facebook’s paid interface is the way to reach NEW interested people. Because when you go all the way with it, (not just “boosting a post”), you gain access to all their amazing data.

Once you’re in the paid interface there are lots of avenues to choose from. The best odds for success is to understand your potential client’s frame of mind and to meet them where they are!

Knowing their frame of mind is the best way to avoid mistakes:

  • Do they need more information? Or
  • Do they understand they need your help right now and it’s urgent?

Obviously, if they need more information, seeing one ad will not do it. But if it’s urgent and they know they need your help, one ad with the right content could be all they need to see in order to reach out and sign with you.

TAKE AWAY

Use the right Facebook “Ad Objective” based on their frame of mind. When you pick the right Ad Objective it can be like magic!

Remember marketing isn’t about you, it’s about helping those who need you!
