“What Resources Should You Allocate for Law Firm Marketing?”

Hi Lawyers. How much time should you spend on marketing to get clients? Hey it’s Mary Cary again your legal marketing director, website developer and video production expert.

Marketing can be daunting for lawyers for a number of reasons. One reason is that lawyers are often busy with their casework and may not have the time or resources to devote to marketing efforts. Additionally, many lawyers may not have a background in marketing and may not know where to start or how to effectively promote their practice.

Lawyers may be hesitant to self-promote. In the legal profession, there is often a focus on maintaining objectivity and impartiality, and some lawyers may be uncomfortable with the idea of promoting their own services. And often lawyers are just so busy it’s hard to find the time.

Let’s jump into an overview of what’s needed… but first a little personal moment:

Some of you who were interested in my online courses (that teach you step by step how to get clients the way I’ve done it for years), may be happy to learn I’m struggling around on the backend of my GoMediaMarketing.com website to get a payment gateway, and build you your own learning platform just for this content!

I realized as I am taking down my content from Thinkific (way to expensive and silly platform), I have a lot of really cool courses and resources to offer you guys and it would be a shame to toss them out completely! So I’ll keep you posted on that! I think the Facebook Course may have made it over and be ready soon.

Also, change of subject… I’m studying my first pre-law class and I love it so much! πŸ™‚ I’ve been a legal secretary, case manager, office manager, receptionist, intake, marketing (doh… of course) website developer, coding, media production, gear, script writing… AHHH you name it… I’ve helped build hundreds of law firms hahaha… but I never studied anything to do with law until now — and I’m really loving this a lot! Actually I’m getting lost in the subject its so cool!!!!

Keep sending the good energy maybe someday I’ll be in the “in crowd” with the rest of you peeps on the other side of the bar! hahaha

Until then I’ll just work to get you clients!….Β  On that note… Back to this content!

The amount of time a law firm should spend on marketing will depend on a variety of factors, including the size of the firm, the type of law it practices, the target market, and the firm’s overall marketing goals. Some firms may choose to focus more heavily on marketing in order to attract new clients and grow their practice, while others may be content to rely on word-of-mouth and referrals from existing clients.

As a general rule, it is a good idea for law firms to allocate a portion of their budget and resources to marketing efforts, whether that means hiring a marketing team or outsourcing to a marketing agency. This can help the firm reach a wider audience and establish itself as a trusted resource in its field.

It is also important for law firms to regularly review and assess their marketing efforts to ensure that they are effective and aligned with the firm’s overall goals. This may involve analyzing data on website traffic, social media engagement, and other metrics to see what strategies are working and where there is room for improvement.
